A configuration contains the settings required for a successful Active Directory (AD) synchronization. Navigate to the configurations page by clicking Directory > Configurations. Search by using the search bar or scrolling through the list.
Note that configurations are related to the mapping sets. Mapping sets are the key element of binding the information from AD to HelloID’s corresponding data set. A new, associated mapping set is created and linked whenever a new configuration is created. More information about mapping sets is available here.
The following information is listed for each configuration:
- Configuration Name
Each configuration's name is displayed in under the Configuration Name column. The name is entered when creating a new configuration or can be modified by clicking the Edit button under the Actions column.
The second column lists the fully qualified name of the Domain from which the given configuration synchronizes. This Domain name must be entered when creating a new configuration or may be modified by clicking Edit under the Action's column.
Click Edit or Delete under the Actions column to modify a given configuration. Clicking Edit will allow an admin to modify the configuration's name, agent pool, domain, and to choose whether the configuration will sync all or a selection of the Domains and OUs.
