A Self Service product is anything a user may request via HelloID's Self Service module. A few common examples of products are:
- Software applications
- Access to file shares or folders
- Physical items such as a cellphone or a laptop
Additionally, products can be enriched with categories, custom approval workflows user-entered data via HelloID's Dynamic Forms, as well as tasks that can be launched when a product is requested, approved, or denied. This includes pre-built tasks in the Task Catalog and custom PowerShell scripts.
Go to Self Service > Products to see an overview of all the Self Service Products available to users within your organization's HelloID environment.
The following information is displayed for each product:
The icon displayed for the product on the HelloID end user dashboard. The icon can be chosen from a list or uploaded.
The name displayed for the product on the HelloID end user dashboard. Select the Edit link under the Actions column to change the product's name.
The descriptive text displayed for the product on the HelloID end user dashboard. Select the Edit link under the Actions column to change the product's description.
Where/to whom this product is shown on the end user dashboard.
Edit, Clone, or Delete the product.
