Task: HelloID Product Ownership Sync
This task looks for Products which have a Change AD group membership or a Change HelloID group membership task attached, and performs the following actions for each matching product:
If addMembership is
true, the product is assigned to all HelloID users in the specified group.If addMembership is
false, the product is unassigned from all HelloID users in the specified group.
You'll typically want to run this task after the Sync AD groups to products task, to assign each newly-created product to all users who already have the relevant group membership.
Warning
We suggest only running this task once. Additional runs can cause unexpected behavior. For example, if this task runs when HelloID group membership is out of sync with AD group membership, products may be incorrectly unassigned from users.
Caution
The synced AD group (see Synced groups) or local HelloID group (see Local groups) must exist in the HelloID group directory (Directory > Groups). If the group doesn't exist in the HelloID group directory, the task will fail with an error such as: [Error] Could not synchronize product 'Testgroup_01', errorcode: 0x80070490, message: No enabled groups found in the product actions.
