If your administrator has it configured, you may protect your HelloID account with your mobile device. Whenever you log in, a notification will be sent to your device allowing you to confirm that it is you who are attempting to log in. This is called push authentication.
To get started, you must first enroll a device that will be used to validate your accounts' login attempts. You will be prompted to do this when you log in, as seen in the screenshot below. In this example, we will be using a mobile phone, and so we will select Use your phone to verify.
Next, you must scan the provided QR code with your desired authenticator app. HelloID has its own authenticator app available from the Google Play and Apple app stores. You may also use other authenticator apps, such as Google Authenticator.
Once you scan the code with the HelloID authenticator app, you're all set! Your device is enrolled. If you use a different app, you will need to enter the six-digit code that the app gives you into the boxes on the web page.
The next time you log in to HelloID, you will be prompted on your mobile device to verify the login attempt. In the screenshot below, we are being asked to confirm the login attempt for "John Doe". To confirm, we simply press LOGIN.
