Intro
Hello and welcome to this HelloID Access Management product release video for January 2020.
HelloID Access Management is an cloud based solution to control who has access to your business applications. By offering Single Sign On, access will made easier for the end user. HelloID also offers a wide integration with many two and multi factor devices, like Yubikey, Soft token, Oauth tokens, SMS, Radius, and many more. HelloID is an good alternative for ADFS, Okta, One Login and Azure P1 license.
In this video I first I’d like to start with a PowerPoint presentation and then demo you the new functionalities.
Presentation
So we have two items, the first one is the most interesting one: now we have integration with any hardware token based on OATH and that basically means that you can use any low-cost two factor hardware device in HelloID. This is very interesting alternative for expensive two factor companies like RSA and Safenet Gemalto.
This option is extra to the two factor devices we already had available in HelloID, like pin over sms, pin over private e-mail address, the radius integration, the Google and Microsoft authenticator and our own soft token with push to verify.
So this broadens the range of two factor devices we currently support in HelloID.
The other option we have available is a rather technical one, now we support ‘subject types supported’ in the OpenID protocol. I will not demo this new functionality but I will definitely demo the Hardware token integration.
Hardware token authentication
So let me demo this new functionality. The first step I have to do is I have to register all the Hardware tokens I have available for my organisation and I do this as an admin. I go to security, 2FA management, this is a new option: Hardware token authentication, and now I can import the tokens I have available for my organisation.
This is a demo so we have only one user, that is this user ‘TjeerdS’, this is the serial number of the token I’d like to use for Tjeerd S, and this is the secret key. Of course I can now open and import the token and make a connection with Tjeerd Seinen, so here I am, it’s connected with the token two and the C301 and this serial number.
So now let me switch over to the end user. Here I am, I can login as Tjeerd Seinen and make a choice for what token I’d like to use. Of course I’d like to use the C301 token, let me generate the key, type over the key, and now I’ve authenticated myself with the two factor device and now I have logged in to the portal.
This is the end of this video. Thank you for your time and attention.
