The Source Systems Overview
From the Provisioning dashboard, select the Source Systems icon, or the corresponding link in the menu.
The overview comprises two sections:
- Source Systems
This area lists the source system(s) to which HelloID is currently connected. Source systems are the starting point of every provisioning process. They are the 'systems of record' from which HelloID imports your organization's personnel data, such as a human resources database.
You may manage source system(s) by selecting their wrench icons, remove them by selecting their trash can icons, or add new source systems by selecting the plus (+) sign button at the top of the list.
You can add multiple source systems, if your organization has multiple systems of record for its personnel data.
Select the 'Start import' button to perform a manual import for the respective system. An import fetches data from the source system and creates a new snapshot. The most recent snapshot determines the current Persons in HelloID. Imports may also be scheduled.
- Source Configuration
The configuration area allows you to manage global settings for the source system(s), such as how display names are formatted, and how each user's primary contract and manager are determined. Here, you may also create and manage custom fields.
