Introduction
In HelloID Provisioning, business rules tell HelloID what entitlements to grant to Persons within your organization, and under what condition. For example, you can create a business rule that creates disabled target system accounts for everyone in the Research & Development department five days before their start date, another rule that enables those accounts one day before their start date, and another that grants several group memberships.
The Business Rules Overview
From the Provisioning dashboard, go to Business Rules > Rules. This will take you to the Business Rules Overview. The overview is broken out into two distinct sections, as detailed below.
- Business Rules
This area displays the business rules currently saved in HelloID. Business rules can be added, edited, or removed in this area. Each business rule can be in a published or a draft state. Business rules in a draft state are not used during an enforcement. Only business rules in a published state are used during an enforcement. You can filter your business rules by state or category using the filter button. - Persons
If you have run an evaluation already, you may select a published business rule to see a list of Persons to whom the rule will apply. The list will show up in this pane.
