Hello and welcome to this HelloID Access Management product release video for April 2020.
HelloID Access Management is an cloud based solution to control who has access to your business applications. By offering Single Sign On, access will made easier for the end user. HelloID also offers a wide integration with many two and multi factor devices, like Yubikey, Soft token, Oauth tokens, SMS, Radius, and many more. HelloID is an good alternative for ADFS, Okta, One Login and Azure P1 license.
In this video I first I’d like to start with a PowerPoint presentation and then demo you the new functionalities.
In this April release we have two new items. We now support the WS-Federation protocol completely in HelloID. We also have a smaller new option too. When an end-user logs in into HelloID you now have the option to redirect the user to a particular section in HelloID or to an outside URL. Without this redirect the user was always directed to the SSO app overview.
Support WS-Federation protocol
First I’ll log into my Enyoi demo environment and I will do that as tjeerds. I have a two factor, now I’m logged in and I’m redirected, not to the default SSO app overview but to the self service page, this is the new redirect option. You can actually redirect the user to every section in HelloID or to an outside domain URL.
So now let me go back and demo you the WS-Federation. I have two new apps using the WS protocol, Outlook Web Access and SharePoint.
So first let me go to Outlook Web Access first, I’m logged in now, really easy to demo, and now go to SharePoint, let me show you that I am authenticated as Tjeerd in the SharePoint environment.
Okay, so let me briefly demo you how to configure this.
So let me go to the app section, you have applications and in the applications I can search, for example, for SharePoint, and I’ll see that the type is WS-Federation.
Of course you can completely configure this, including setting the mapping, the powerful option in HelloID, and of course everything is being documented in the documentation section.
Redirect the user to a particular section
We also have the new option to redirect a user after the login, you have to go to the company section in the settings, and here you can see that I was redirected to the product overview and not directly to the SSO app overview, again this is fully documented and you can see that the redirect URL is documented right here.
This is the end of this video. Thank you for your time and attention.
