Introduction
By default, users do not have permission to view the BI reporting interface. To grant permission, you must add users to a role with the appropriate rights. They will then see a new icon at the top of the HelloID user dashboard:
This article will walk you through the process.
Subsequently, you must grant access to individual reports.
Create a Report Viewers role and add users
- Create a new role called Report Viewers.
- On the Rights tab of your new role, turn on the View toggle in the Reporting permissions. This will grant access to the reporting interface.
- Select the Save button.
- Finally, add individual users or user groups to the Report Viewers role. These users and/or groups will be granted access to HelloID's reporting interface. If you want to grant access to everyone in your organization, add the default Users group to it.
Assign individual reports to groups
Granting view access to the reporting interface is only the first step. You must also grant access to individual BI reports by assigning them to one or more user groups. To do so, see BI Reports - Overview.
