Introduction
With the HelloID mobile app, your organization's end users can seamlessly log into their connected applications right from their mobile device. Use HelloID's Mobile App Security settings to control the security of the mobile clients that connect to your HelloID instance. Navigate to Security > Mobile App Security on the HelloID Administrator Dashboard to get started.
Configure Mobile App Security
The Mobile App Security page presents you with several options for customizing the security and user experience for your organization's mobile clients.
- PIN Enabled
When this setting is enabled, users must enter a PIN code before they can use the HelloID app. First time users will be able to create a new PIN. - Always re-authenticate when starting the app
Enable this setting to force users to re-enter their PIN when they open the HelloID app after it has been fully closed. - Always re-authenticate when resuming the app
Enable this setting to force users to re-enter their PIN when they come back to the HelloID app after having switched to a different app. - Re-authenticated on start timeout (seconds)
If you have "Always re-authenticate when starting app" disabled, this setting will force mobile users to re-authenticate after the defined time period. - Re-authenticated on resume timeout (seconds)
If you have "Always re-authenticate when resuming the app" disabled, this setting will force mobile users to re-authenticate after the defined time period. - Force authentication time (days)
This setting allows you to force mobile users to authenticate themselves when starting or resuming the app after the defined period of time, regardless of other authentication settings. - File selection timeout (seconds)
This setting specifies the timeout of the download manager when it loses focus while downloading or uploading a file inside the application browser. The end user has this many seconds to return to the mobile app before they must re-authenticate.
