Introduction
An Identity Provider (IdP) provides authentication into HelloID from an external system, such as Microsoft Active Directory. The Microsoft Active Directory IdP also comes with a sync task, which allows it to act as your directory system (to populate HelloID users and groups) in addition to acting as your IdP.
By default, HelloID starts with the Local IdP, which cannot be removed or disabled.
The Identity Providers overview is split into two sections:
- Identity Providers
This section lists all of the currently configured identity providers. - Identity Provider Downloads
Download and install available client software to allow an external system to act as an IdP. Not all external systems require a specific download, such as those that support SAML.
