Intro
Hello and welcome to this HelloID Provisioning product release video for July 2020.
HelloID Provisioning is an 100% born in the cloud, easy the configure and to maintain user provisioning solution. It helps organisations to fully automate the user life cycle management in the network by connecting the HR or SIS as a source system. Every change in this source is detected and processed into the network. No worries anymore about stale user accounts, accumulation of licences or access rights, manual user management or compliancy issues.
In this video I first I’d like to start with a PowerPoint presentation and then demo you the new functionalities.
Presentation
We have three new items in this release. We can now set a business rule on any attribute in a contract. We can see more detailed information if something goes wrong in the provisioning process. We now support multiple source systems, so you can add as many source systems to the provisioning process as you want.
Advanced Business Rule
The first item I’d like to show you is the advanced business rule. So here in the business rule you have a new option, you can make a modification, and this is the contract section. Here you can set a filter upon any attribute you like in the contract. Here is the list, and see all the attributes that are available on a contract, and I can set any condition I like on this contract. This is a very powerful mechanism to make the business rules even more powerful than they are right now.
See more detailed information if something goes wrong
Another new item, which helps you get control over the provisioning process if something goes wrong, is available here. You have this option here to get the ID for the stack driver message, and now we have a display box that retrieves information, you might have to wait a little, but it’s retrieving the information necessary to help you sort out what’s going wrong. This available for any error and any connected system. If you cannot resolve the issue, you can still use this ID and contact our support desk and they will help you out. Also, based on your feedback we extend this debug information.
Add as many source systems as you want
The last item, and this is the biggest item for his release, is that you now have the option to add as many source systems as you like. I already have two in this demo environment but I can add as many as I like. We also have the option to distinguish where the user is coming from and here, for example, in the display name I can use a special keyword: source display name, this is the name of the source system. We also have the option to set a person attribute. That will help you because the ‘person’ section is different per connected source system, this is for the HRM demo system and it will be different for the other systems I already connected. So if I set a value here and set custom source value at demo, and if I go to the other system, it’s also set but now at RAET. In the business rules I can set a condition on this custom source value, so then I know on which input I need to apply a business rule.
This is the end of this video. Thank you for your time and attention.
