Manually correlate an account

Correlation works by matching a chosen field in the Person schema (Person Correlation Field) with a matching field in the target system's target mappings that is tied to the Create event (Account Correlation Field).

If the correlation property of a person is wrong or missing from the source system, update or add it in the source system first and Run a manual import.

To correct or add the correlation property of the account in the target system, you can either use the target system's console, or use HelloID's Import entitlements report, as follows.

  1. Open the Import entitlements report for the relevant target system:

    1. Go to Business > Entitlements.

    2. Open the Import tab.

    3. Select the target system.

    If there is no Import entitlements report for the target system: Import target system entitlements.

  2. Optional: Click the filter.png Filter button and select No account to show only people who don’t yet have an account in the target system.

  3. Click the link.png Link button in the row corresponding to the person.

    All uncorrelated and unmanaged accounts are listed at the right.

  4. Optional: Click the eye.png View properties button (eye icon) to view an account's properties.

  5. Click the link.png Link button to link the account to the selected person.

    In the report, the person's account state is now Manually linked.

  6. If needed, you can click the unlink.png Unlink button to undo the manual link.

The account will be managed in HelloID as soon as the entitlements are imported.

The correlation value of a manually linked account will be updated to match the selected person’s correlation value during the next enforcement.

Tip

If an account was mistakenly granted to a person in HelloID, you can Unmanage it.
