Retry a product action run
Note
These instructions do not apply to product actions that were added from the Task catalog. To retry a product action added from the Task catalog or a scheduled task run, instead see Retry a task run.
To mark a product action run as succeeded without actually re-running the action, instead see Mark a product action as succeeded.
Determine what caused the product action to fail, and if necessary, fix it. For example, there may be an error in the action's PowerShell script, or an error in an external system that the script calls. If you think the action failed for an idiosyncratic reason, skip this step.
Go to Self Service > Request History, to View product request history.
Alternatively, go to Recertification > Request history to View recertification request history.
Note
To retry a product action run, you need the Self Service Request History - Retry action right or Recertification Management - Manage request history right, depending on the page.
For a product request with a Task State of Failed, click
View details.
Go to the Task Execution tab.
For the failed product action run, click Retry.
Click Retry Production Action to confirm.
If the task retry succeeds, the Task State changes to Completed.
