Resolve unmerge/replace suggestions
There are two different ways to resolve an Unmerge or Replace Main Person suggestion (see Unmerge/replace suggestions):
Resolve unmerge/replace suggestions by replacing the main person
This method resolves an unmerge suggestion by retaining the merge set, but replacing the missing main person with one of the non-main persons.
Go to Source > Aggregation > Suggestions.
Select the relevant suggestion in the Suggestions pane.
Enable the Main toggle for the non-main person who should become the new main person.
For this example, Victoria is the missing main person, and we've selected Carlos (non-main) as her replacement:
Click Transfer.
Click New Snapshot to perform a manual snapshot.
For this example, Carlos is now the new main person, and his person record now has the
Person Transfer indicator.
Your changes will be written into target systems during the next Enforcement, according to the Unmerge/replace suggestion resolved by replacing scenario.
Tip
If the old main person is added back to their origin source system during the next import, they are added to the merge set as a non-main person.
For example, if Victoria is added back to her origin source system during the next import:
Resolve unmerge/replace suggestions by unmerging
This method resolves an unmerge suggestion by removing the merge set entirely and unmerging all involved persons.
Go to Source > Aggregation > Suggestions.
Select the relevant suggestion in the Suggestions pane.
Click Unmerge.
Click New Snapshot to perform a manual snapshot.
Your changes will be written into target systems during the next Enforcement, according to the Unmerge/replace suggestion resolved by unmerging scenario.
