Source imports
A source import is the process which fetches the latest raw personnel data from a particular external source system (see Source systems).
Source imports can be performed on a manual (one-off) or scheduled (recurring) basis. See Manual imports and Schedules.
A source import comprises two steps:
The latest raw personnel data is fetched from the external source system, based on its Persons import script and Departments import script
A snapshot is performed (see Source snapshots).
Tip
To perform step (2) of the import process in isolation, Manually generate a snapshot. It is not possible to perform step (1) in isolation.
