Assign a product

Use this feature to manually give a product to a user, without the user having to request it.

  1. Go to Self Service > Administration.

  2. Click Assign.

  3. Select a Product and the Users who will receive it.

  4. Disable the Trigger Email Actions toggle to suppress all email notifications related to this product assignment.

  5. Enable the Immediately Approve Product toggle to skip the product's approval workflow (see Approval workflows) and immediately grant it to the user.

  6. Click Assign.

A product request is created. Depending on the Immediately Approve Product toggle, the request is either immediately put into the Approved state (and the user gets access to the product), or the request is put into the Requested state and the product's approval workflow runs as normal.
