HelloID

Re-correlate a non-main person's target account

When a non-main person's Account entitlement becomes unmanaged in the target system during a merge, it will never again receive any entitlements or person data updates from HelloID—even if the merge set is subsequently removed. If you want an unmanaged account to continue receiving entitlements and person data updates, you can accomplish this by using HelloID's correlation feature (only supported for Active Directory target systems and Azure AD target systems). To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that HelloID's correlation feature is enabled for the relevant target system:

  2. In the target system's external admin console, for the account attribute which is selected as the Account Correlation Field in HelloID, set the non-main account's value equal to the main account's value. For example, if the Account Correlation Field is set to the employeeId for an Active Directory target system, replace the employeeId of the non-main account with that of the main account. Both target accounts should now have the same employeeId.

  3. In HelloID, go to Persons > Entitlements. Select the relevant main person, and then Re-enforce an entitlement for the person's Account entitlement in the relevant target system.

  4. The account is re-managed by HelloID. HelloID correlates both target accounts to the main person, and both accounts will now once again receive entitlements and person data updates.
